Launched by the N.C. Department of Commerce Main Street & Rural Planning Center, the Certified NC Destination Business program is the first of its kind in the country, designed to highlight downtown businesses that deliver standout experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
Certified NC Destination Businesses completed specialized training with The Schallert Group, a national leader in consumer destination strategy, equipping them with a step‑by‑step plan to boost foot traffic, grow revenue, and attract visitors from across the region. Certified NC Destination Businesses are located in designated Main Street communities throughout North Carolina.

The Go Girl Shoppe
A boutique specializing in home decor and gifts for you and your home. The owner and curator Meghan loves creating and finding items that make you and your home happy. The shop merchandise is constantly changing with every day and seasonal items. They pride themselves in finding those one-of-a-kind items that are sure to bring a smile to your face.
Bright Penny Brewing
Located in the historic Rice Flour and Feed Mill building and beside the White Furniture Lofts, Bright Penny is an anchor location for downtown and NC's first certified brewery. As Mebane's first brewery to open, we aimed to hit the ground running with a large number of exceptional beers. Our goal was to provide a variety of craft beers, a family friendly taproom environment, and all with exceptional customer service.

digital discovery trail, connecting North Carolina’s designated Main Street communities.
